# VTUHub > VTUHub is an independent study platform for Visvesvaraya Technological University students. Original subject guides, practice questions, scheme explainers and in-browser calculators — organised by branch, semester and subject. We do not host university question-paper PDFs or third-party notes. VTUHub is an independent study site for Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka, India. It is not vtu.ac.in. Official dates, results and scheme PDFs stay on the university site. ## Start here - [Home](https://vtuhub.site/) - [Browse](https://vtuhub.site/vtu) - [Semesters](https://vtuhub.site/semesters) - [Schemes](https://vtuhub.site/schemes) - [FAQ](https://vtuhub.site/faq) - [Tools](https://vtuhub.site/tools) ## Schemes - [2022 Scheme](https://vtuhub.site/schemes/2022): Current scheme for most VTU programmes. Theory papers typically use 50 CIE + 50 SEE. Subject codes use the Bxx prefix (BCS, BIS, BEC, BEE, BME, BCV). - [2021 Scheme](https://vtuhub.site/schemes/2021): Transitional scheme still appearing on older question papers. Codes often look like 21CS / 21EC. Grading remains 10-point. - [2018 Scheme](https://vtuhub.site/schemes/2018): Older CBCS scheme (18CS, 18EC, …) with 40 CIE + 60 SEE. Many previous papers on VTUHub are from this scheme and remain useful for practice. ## Branches - [Computer Science & Engineering](https://vtuhub.site/vtu/cse): Notes, question papers and syllabus for VTU Computer Science & Engineering — data structures, DBMS, OS, networks and more. - [Information Science & Engineering](https://vtuhub.site/vtu/ise): VTU Information Science resources: programming, data, web and core IS subjects organised by semester. - [Electronics & Communication Engineering](https://vtuhub.site/vtu/ece): Analog, digital, signals, communication and VLSI resources for VTU Electronics & Communication. - [Electrical & Electronics Engineering](https://vtuhub.site/vtu/eee): Electrical machines, power systems, control and circuits for VTU Electrical & Electronics students. - [Mechanical Engineering](https://vtuhub.site/vtu/me): Thermodynamics, SOM, fluids, manufacturing and design resources for VTU Mechanical Engineering. - [Civil Engineering](https://vtuhub.site/vtu/cv): Structures, surveying, geotechnical and transportation resources for VTU Civil Engineering. ## Semesters - [1st Semester](https://vtuhub.site/semesters/1st-semester) - [2nd Semester](https://vtuhub.site/semesters/2nd-semester) - [3rd Semester](https://vtuhub.site/semesters/3rd-semester) - [4th Semester](https://vtuhub.site/semesters/4th-semester) - [5th Semester](https://vtuhub.site/semesters/5th-semester) - [6th Semester](https://vtuhub.site/semesters/6th-semester) - [7th Semester](https://vtuhub.site/semesters/7th-semester) - [8th Semester](https://vtuhub.site/semesters/8th-semester) ## Resource types - [Notes](https://vtuhub.site/resources/notes): Original unit study guides written for VTUHub. Use this page as a reading guide, then confirm dates on the official portal. - [SEE results, photocopies and revaluation — student checklist](https://vtuhub.site/updates/see-results-how-revaluation-works): A practical walk-through of result announcement, applying for a photocopy, and revaluation windows. Deadlines are only valid on the official circular. - [Reading the VTU academic calendar (odd and even semester)](https://vtuhub.site/updates/academic-calendar-odd-even-2026): Term start, CIE slots, last working day and SEE typically sit on one circular. Here is how to extract the dates that actually affect you. - [CIE and SEE marks split on the 2022 scheme](https://vtuhub.site/updates/2022-scheme-cie-see-split): Most 2022-scheme theory papers use 50 CIE + 50 SEE. Passing rules still depend on the scheme circular for your batch — verify before you assume. - [Exam applications, USN and admission tickets](https://vtuhub.site/updates/exam-application-and-usn): Colleges file exam applications on your behalf in most cases. Your job is to verify subject codes and keep the admission ticket. ## FAQ - Is VTUHub the official VTU website? No. VTUHub is an independent student resource site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Visvesvaraya Technological University. Circulars, dates, results and scheme PDFs that count live on vtu.ac.in. - How do I find notes for my branch and semester? Open Browse, pick your branch (CSE, ISE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical or Civil), then pick the semester. That page lists subjects with that programme’s subject codes. If you open a semester from the home page first, you will see every branch that runs that term — it does not jump to CSE. - Why do CSE and ISE have different subject codes? On the 2022 scheme, CSE papers typically use BCS codes and ISE papers use BIS codes, even when the title looks the same. Always match the code on your admission ticket, not only the subject name. - Do you host official VTU question papers or notes PDFs? No. VTUHub publishes original study guides, practice questions and lab-prep checklists written for this site. Official semester-end papers, scheme PDFs and college manuals are issued by VTU and your department. Get those documents from vtu.ac.in or the exam section. We will not host them as downloads. - How is SGPA calculated? SGPA = Σ (credits × grade points) / Σ credits for that semester. Failed papers still sit in the denominator until you clear them. Use the SGPA calculator, then read the worked example in the grading articles if you want to check the arithmetic by hand. - What attendance percentage do I need? Many VTU colleges use 85% as the eligibility line up to the last working day, but the college notice can be stricter than the university calendar. Follow the stricter one. The attendance calculator models consecutive classes still needed; it does not replace your department register. - Which scheme am I on — 2018, 2021 or 2022? The scheme is printed on your exam admission ticket and on the scheme PDF. 2022-scheme theory is commonly 50 CIE + 50 SEE with Bxx codes. 2018-scheme papers were often 40 + 60 with 18xx codes. Mixing splits in the marks calculator will give you the wrong total. - How do I report a wrong file or a copyright issue? Email corrections@vtuhub.site for academic errors and copyright@vtuhub.site for rights-holder takedown requests. Include the page URL and, for copyright, the details listed on the Copyright page. ## Subjects - [BMAT101 Mathematics-I](https://vtuhub.site/vtu/cse/1st-semester/mathematics-i): Differential calculus, linear algebra and the first-semester mathematics core for VTU CSE students. - [BPHY102 Applied Physics](https://vtuhub.site/vtu/cse/1st-semester/applied-physics): Applied Physics for the physics-cycle CSE batch. - [BCHE102 Applied Chemistry](https://vtuhub.site/vtu/cse/2nd-semester/applied-chemistry): Engineering chemistry for VTU CSE: water technology, electrochemistry, fuels and polymers. - [BPLCK105 Programming in C](https://vtuhub.site/vtu/cse/1st-semester/programming-in-c): First-year C programming as taught on the VTU 2022 scheme.
