Who we are

VTUHub is an independent website at vtuhub.site for Visvesvaraya Technological University students in Karnataka. It is not the university. Contact: contact@vtuhub.site.

Information we collect

Calculators run in your browser. SGPA rows, CIE marks and attendance counts are not sent to a VTUHub server. We do not ask for a USN, password or government ID.

Server and log information

Hosting and content-delivery providers typically record IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer and a timestamp. These logs exist to operate and secure the site, not to build a student profile.

Theme preference

Light/dark mode is stored in localStorage on your device (vtuhub-theme). It does not identify you.

Cookies

First-party cookies, if any, are limited to hosting, security and similar operational needs. Search queries you type are used to show results on this site.

Advertising

Every page reserves advertisement placements: a leaderboard under the header, a sidebar on large screens, an in-article slot after the content, and a mobile slot. Those slots stay labeled placeholders until a Google AdSense publisher id is added. When that network is enabled:

• Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this or other websites.
• Users may opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
• Some third-party cookies can be limited at aboutads.info.

Analytics

If traffic analytics are added later, they will be configured to avoid collecting USNs or calculator contents. This policy will name the product if that happens.

Retention and children

Server logs follow the host’s default unless a security incident needs a longer copy. The site is aimed at university students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Use the site without creating an account — there is no account.
• Block cookies in the browser; core pages still work.
• Use Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info to limit ad personalisation.
